Baking Ideas for M&M Candies

M&M candies are a staple in the dessert world. Christmas cookie recipes wouldn’t be the same without the chocolate candies. The following includes resources on the candy, as well as some inventive and classic cookie recipes and recipes for dessert.

M&M Candy Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • granulated sugar
  • cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces of M&M candies

Set the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar, then add the egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl mix together the salt, flour, and baking soda. Add this back to the sugar and butter mixture. Then add the M&Ms. Measure out the cookies using a teaspoon and leaving a few inches between each one on a cookie sheet. Back for 10-13 minutes.

M&M Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • cup softened butter
  • 1 brown sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 cups dry oatmeal
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup M&M chocolate candy

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the butter, peanut butter, and sugar. Then add the eggs, vanilla and baking soda. Roll a small amount of the batter into a one inch ball and lay on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

M&M'S Party Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup M&Ms candy

Set the oven to 375F. Combine the white and brown sugar with the butter. Add the eggs and vanilla. Then add the flour, baking soda and salt. Add the M&Ms and mix everything together well. Place the cookies on an ungreased sheet and bake for 9-11 minutes.

M&M Blondies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cups light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 ounces of M&M candies
  • 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped

Set the over to 350 degrees. Mix together the butter and sugars before adding the vanilla and egg. Then add the flour and baking soda to the same bowl. Mix in the nuts and candy. Pour the mixture into a 8X13 greased backing dish. Bake for 30-35 minutes until set in the middle.

Scotchies

Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces butterscotch
  • 12 ounces M&M candies
  • 2 cups smooth peanut butter
  • 8 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Melt the butterscotch and peanut butter together. Mix in the Rice Krispies and the candies. Set the mixture into a non-greased 9X13 backing pan and let cool.

M&M Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 package chocolate brownie mix
  • 1 can chocolate frosting
  • 12 ounces of M&M candies

Bake the brownies according to the package directions and let cool. Spread a layer of frosting on top of the brownies and decorate the top with a layer of M&M candies.

M&M Ice Cream Sandwiches

Ingredients:

  • 1 package chocolate chip cookies
  • 1 gallon vanilla ice cream
  • 1 package M&M candies

Let the ice cream sit out for 10-15 minutes to soften. Lay a cookie flat and place a scoop of ice cream on top. Add a cookie to the top of the ice cream and press down softly until the ice cream spills out. Pour the M&Ms into a bowl and roll the edges of the cookies into the bowl to coat the outside with the candies. Place back into the freezer until hard.

M&M Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

  • 1 package instant hot cocoa
  • Whipped cream
  • M&Ms

Prepare the hot chocolate according to the package directions. Add a spoonful of candies to the hot chocolate and let it sit until the candy melts. Add a dollop of whipped cream to the top of the mug and decorate with the extra candies.

M&Ms Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups M&Ms
  • 1 package brownie mix

Set the oven to 350 degrees. Mix together everything except the butter and candy. Add the butter and candy slowly. Make the brownie mixture and set it aside. Press half of the first mixture into a greased 10X15 baking dish and then pour the brownie mixture on top. Add the rest of the mixture on top of the brownie mixture. Bake for 25-30 minutes until set.

M&M Brownie Sundae

Ingredients:

  • Ice cream
  • Hot fudge sauce
  • Brownie
  • M&M candies
  • Whipped cream

Place the brownie in a bowl and add the ice cream on top. Drop a dollop of hot fudge sauce on top of the ice cream and top with the candy. Then add a layer of whipped cream and decorate the top with more candies.

M&M Brownie Sundae

Ingredients:

  • 1 package brownie mixed, prepared
  • 1 cup M&M candies
  • 1 quart softened vanilla ice cream
  • caramel topping
  • cup nuts, finely chopped

Spoon the softened ice cream over the top of the brownies, making sure to spread it evenly. Drizzle the top with the caramel sauce and top with the nuts and candies. Also try using different flavors of ice cream toppings and ice cream.

M&Ms Cheesecake

Ingredients:

  • 1 chocolate graham cracker pie crust
  • 3 packages softened cream cheese
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 package M&M candies

Set the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the cream cheese with the sugar and flour. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix again. Then add all but cup of the candy and mix. Add this mixture into the crust and bake for 15-30 minutes. Remove the cheesecake and add the rest of the candy to the top. Bake for another 15-20 minutes until the center is firm.
