Tips and Tricks for Perfect Fudge

Making the perfect batch of fudge is no small task. While a bit more complicated than basic cookie recipes, the end result is just as satisfying! Below are some hints to making delicious fudge.

  • Choose to make fudge on days when the weather is cool and dry.

  • Make fudge one batch at a time, never doubling or tripling the recipe at once because this could cause failure due to cooling rates.

  • Never substitute ingredients.

  • Use regular butter or margarine.

  • Use an accurate candy thermometer, testing accuracy with a pot of boiling water to 212 degrees.
