Kid's Cooking Recipes

A great way to spend time with your children is to do an interactive activity with them such as cooking. There are lots of recipes that are easy to make with kids and are delicious. There are many easy to make desserts and the results are always a crowd pleaser. These recipes are sure to make everyone in your family happy!

Ice Cream Cake

Ingredients:

24 Ice Cream Sandwich Bars

2 containers Cool Whip

12 oreo cookies

2 Hershey's Bars

4 tablespoons of Hot Fudge

1 full of bag of M&M's

4 tablespoons of Caramel Sauce

Crush candy bars, Oreos, and M&M's and put them aside in a bowl. In a 9x12 baking dish, spread a layer of Cool Whip across the bottom and then add a layer of ice cream sandwiches. Spread another layer of Cool Whip, another layer of ice sandwiches. Sprinkle the mixture of crushed candy and cookies on the top. Add a drizzle of both the hot fudge and caramel sauce. Place dessert in the freezer for 3 hours, or until frozen.

Special Watemelon Pie

Ingredients:

5 cups of crumbled short bread

5 cups of watermelon (seedless) that is cut up into small pieces

1 can of whipped cream

Put a layer of crumbled short bread cookies in the bottom of a pie dish. Add the watermelon on top of the crumbled cookies. Top the watermelon with the rest of the shortbread crumbles. Decorate the top of the pie with whipped cream. You may add a few more cookie crumbles on top of the whipped cream for decoration.

Cracker Squares

Ingedients:

1 cup marshmallow crème

1 cup peanut butter (crunchy is preferable)

36 Ritz crackers, crushed

½ cup miniature, semi sweet chocolate chips

1 ounce melted chocolate

In a large bowl, mix peanut butter and marshmallow crème. Mix until it is creamy. Add chocolate chips and cracker crumbs and blend together. In a greased 9 inch pan, lightly add the cracker crumb mix. Drizzle the melted chocolate on top. Leave at room temperature for 30 minutes. Cut into squares to enjoy this special treat!
